Our Story

In 1988, Christy Cottrell saw that businesses were operating in silos, completely disconnected from their competitors and their customers. They were blind to what was happening in the market and unable to make informed decisions about their products, pricing, and marketing strategies.

 

Cottrell, who had a background in grocery retail, founded RetailData to fill this need. The company originally focused on providing retailers with accurate and up-to-date pricing information, quickly becoming a leader in the retail intelligence industry.
